PORTRAITS
WATERBURY SCREW MACHINE PRODUCTS CO.
An editorial portraits project I shot recently for Waterbury Screw Machine Products Company. I only had about half an hour to get in and get out before workers broke for lunch. Decades as a wildlife photographer definitely came in handy when quick decisions were necessary.
ACCESS HEALTH CT
A few selects from a shoot for Access Health CT, Connecticut’s insurance exchange, highlighting small business owners across the state. Final images were used in print and social campaigns celebrating those who prioritize employee health.
PROFESSION PORTRAITS PROJECT
We are what we do. This series of environmental portraits brings a sense of place and story to each individual through their chosen profession.
ARTIST PROFILE
A series of environmental portraits I took of a local artist and poet in her home studio, covering the range of emotions that make her who she is.
OTHER PORTRAITS
Sometimes a portrait is just that — an image that captures the personality of a person without necessarily defining them through what they do.
MOTOR CITY GUITAR
Motor City Guitar is a bit of an institution in suburban Detroit. Many of the city’s long list of musical dignitaries have passed through its doors. While I was working at Leo Burnett in Detroit, we took a break from car advertising to shoot a few commercials, posters and print executions. For the print, I got to be both the writer and the photographer and captured these images of fellow employees doing their best rockstar impersonations.
LIFESTYLE & TRAVEL
Portraits taken while traveling using primarily natural light.
THE KNOLL PROJECT
For this digital flip book, I took portraits of each employee, plus “knolls” of some of their favorite things. Here are a few screen grabs of the booklet pages.
